Christian Parkinson
Christian Parkinson runs the popular YouTube channel Redcoat History. He is also a battlefield tour guide and documentary filmmaker based in South Africa.Â
He developed a passion for British military history while travelling around India and visiting the forgotten graves of British soldiers. That interest was cemented by being embedded as a cameraman with various British Army and Royal Marine units in Iraq and Afghanistan.Â
The main focus of his research is the development of the British Army and Britain’s wars in Africa and the Indian subcontinent.Â
His new book is a thematic history of the British Army from its earliest days during the Civil War to modern times.
