Graham Lord

Graham Lord is the grandson of Warrant Officer Class 1 John Clifford Lord MVO MBE, the legendary Regimental Sergeant Major of the Parachute Regiment and the first Academy Sergeant Major of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Drawing on an exceptional private family archive — including wartime correspondence, official records, and previously unpublished testimony — Graham has spent the past several years researching and writing a definitive biography of his grandfather’s life and service, from his early Army career through his capture at Arnhem, his time as senior British POW at Stalag XIB, and his post-war role at Sandhurst.

He brings over a decade of professional experience in project management and client-facing work to the discipline of long-form historical research, and is based in Palm Desert, California.
